As a resident of Swindon, I am incredibly disheartened to learn about the planned closure of the M&S store on Regent Street. This branch holds a special place in the hearts of locals, young and old alike. It has been an essential part of our community for generations, providing convenient access to quality products for those who cannot easily travel to other branches.

This petition is personal to me because this store is not just a supermarket; it is a lifeline for many residents like myself. Being situated at the heart of our town, it has become an integral part of our daily lives. Whether it's grabbing groceries after work or finding that perfect outfit for a special occasion, this M&S store has always been there for us.

While we understand that businesses need to make strategic decisions based on financial considerations, we believe that closing such an iconic store would be detrimental both socially and economically to Swindon Town Centre which is already struggling, and we urge the M&S management team to reconsider their decision and keep the Regent Street store open.
