Stop Psychotherapy Takeover
Dec 1, 2014
We continue to be very grateful for the support of the public in this crisis that severely affects 14 million Ontarians and some 10,000 alternative, holistic and spiritual care practitioners. Our recent discovery will shock you.
Help us get to 6 million signatures by sharing this campaign with friends and family. Remember that donations on this site go to Change.org and not our cause, so if you want your donation to help keep us all free, donate at www.StopPsychotherapyTakeover.ca
Let us not give in to ANY demands that we give up our right to choose for ourselves what we want in health treatments. Where will people go when psychotherapy and psychiatry do not work and these professions are in charge of all choices available to you?
Our Discovery:
We have discovered that while the psychologists behind this takeover of all treatment, counseling and spiritual care in Ontario have been saying they have no intention of regulating alternative treatments, they were also, quietly in the background, pulling together a Dictionary of Clinical Psychology (1st edition, 2013) to facilitate doing just that!
This new dictionary contains a disturbing list of 312 supposed ‘psychotherapeutic techniques’ many of which will shock you because virtually no one outside of this health care coup would associate them with psychotherapy. This list has never been publicly disclosed. Instead, the new College keeps insisting they have no ‘intention’ of defining ‘psychotherapeutic techniques’!
Ask yourself why a regulatory body would insist on keeping the public in the dark as to which exact approaches they plan to regulate, while ensuring the very treatments alternative practitioners provide are now a ‘controlled act’ under their exclusive control?
We believe that this behavior is wholesale deceit and manipulation designed to lull alternative, holistic and spiritual care practitioners and their clients into a false sense of safety. And if this is the way they are going to treat us all now, we can only imagine how terrible the situation will be when they get full enforcement powers.
Our fears that this takeover gang would appropriate techniques and approaches that the average person would never think of as ‘psychotherapy’ has come true. Included in this new dictionary list are Zen meditation, motivational treatments, light therapy, pet and play therapies, hypnotherapy/hypnosis and so on.
While the psychologists at the College of Registered Psychotherapists were misleading alternative practitioners, hoping they would remain apathetic about this travesty of justice and fair play, supporters have been helping us uncover just how deep the deception and therefore the damage to our freedoms really goes.
As it stands, when this legislation that puts the entire field of alternative, holistic and spiritual care treatments in the hands of those who don’t believe in their mind-body-spirit approaches in the first place is proclaimed, you will have one choice in treatments for your bumps and bruises of life: registered psychotherapists.
By appropriating alternative and holistic treatments as their own, psychotherapists will quickly ensure they are rendered redundant and unavailable.
Psychotherapists are positioned to make your mind up for you in the most important area of your life….your mental and emotional wellness.
We know you don’t want this for you, your family or for Canada!
Please help keep Ontario free of mind-boggling tyranny and loss of freedoms by sharing widely, writing to your MPPs and contributing generously to the legal action undertaken to stop this insanity at www.StopPsychotherapyTakeover.ca
