Farewell to the Only Masjid on Lake Shore: A Heartfelt Tribute

Dear Supporters,

With heavy hearts, we bring you an update that marks the end of a cherished era. For two decades, we've nurtured and upheld our beloved masjid with unwavering dedication. But today, we share news that brings tears to our eyes - this sanctuary, built through the sweat and sacrifices of twenty years, has been razed to the ground by the hands of Timothy Gianotti and Randal Muhammad. Astonishingly, these individuals, who've never used even to grace a prayer within its walls, have sealed its fate.

The Pain of a Heartbreaking Loss:

What would they know of its sanctity? How could they comprehend the value it held for countless worshippers and students? In their pursuit, they've obliterated the legacy we nurtured. For a mere 6 million, an inconceivable sum for the efforts it encapsulated, they've brought down the curtain on a structure that once housed international students, doctors, and aspirations.

A Triumph for Detractors: Immaculata All Girls Catholic High School:

In a disheartening turn of events, they have inadvertently delivered a victory to those who perpetually denied the true identity of our institution, referring to it solely as "Immaculata All Girls Catholic High School." Even as newspapers and media persisted in echoing these sentiments, we stood resilient, proclaiming its rightful name - the American Islamic College.

Demands for Justice:

Timothy Gianotti and Randal Muhammad, brought in with promises of safeguarding our institution, have betrayed us. They've perpetrated a breach of trust that will not go unnoticed. Just as we condemn their predecessors for misusing funds, we refuse to allow them to escape scrutiny. Our tears are a testament to our anguish, but they also ignite our determination. Our struggle continues.

Reaching Out for Support:

We reached out to esteemed organizations within our community, including CAIR, CIOGC, Muslim Civic Coalition, and local masjids, sharing our plight. Unfortunately, our pleas fell on deaf ears. Yet, in the face of adversity, Allah's plan prevails. While our masjid will temporarily find refuge in the basement of the main building, we'll persevere.

Unveiling Their Plans:

Let it be known that Timothy Gianotti's assurance of saving our institution was nothing but a smokescreen for ulterior motives. A plan had been set in motion, with Randal Muhammad by his side, to dismantle the American Islamic College. Their association with KGiles and CA Ventures raises questions that demand answers. Were they only brought in to execute this tragic end?

In the Face of Betrayal, We Stand Strong:

As we bid farewell to the masjid we cherished, we remain united in our resolve. Let us remember that while Timothy and Randal may have scripted this heartache, Allah is the supreme planner. Our struggle is far from over. We demand accountability, transparency, and justice.

A Brother's Dedication:

When Sadik reached out to me to start a campaign to save this masjid, a beloved brother who never missed a single Fajr or Isha prayer, regardless of rain, snow, or the absence of congregants in the masjid, how could I say no? Witnessing his tears as the masjid crumbled yesterday, I made a commitment. This petition will persist, and may Allah guide us against these transgressors.
