NO SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT AFTER 5 MONTHS :PROTEST CONTINUES AMIDST HEAVY DEPLOYMENT OF POLICE FORCE

About two hours ago, three busses full of police personnel broke the lock put up on the gates, they entered inside, used the police vehicles to move us on one side of the road, the water cannon mounted on a huge truck entered inside the campus, we were repeatedly threatened with use of physical force on us. They broke the locks we remained silent, They removed the tent, we did not budge, They used vehicles to push us on one side of the road. All the students remained silent and peaceful throughout this exercise, no slogans were raised, students sat with their hands joined and raised in a peaceful manner, pleading to be given an opportunity to be heard by the Chancellor, who is our guardian. All other authorities signed the minutes of the meeting after the previous protest was halted in April, since the other authorities could not fulfill their promises, we demand to be addressed by our Chancellor. All our demands are just, our means are just. We stand united.
