This evening, we walked out to see what may have survived. We had whom we believe to be a bumble Queen emerge, happily buzz around us, and land near my shoes. (I was standing still.) She nudged it a few times and then buzzed around again. She landed on what we believe to be her nest. Then she did a small dance for us before going to scope out the wreckage.
We are bringing this up because this is HOPE.We are networking within our community and whomever out there will hear us! We saw a few plants that may be hearty enough to heal from this today. The birds are still hanging around. Squirrels are still looking around, though busy. Grasshoppers and small butterflies were spotted. We are not sure about the ladybugs or lightning bugs yet.
Our land was carelessly trashed and destroyed by the Code enforcement officer's orders. We ask that you help push this further along, sharing it to hold them accountable. Word of mouth and sharing are the best ways to help us get as much awareness as possible. Change will only come about with your support. Thank you all for giving us hope.
