We, the students of Cypress Creek High School, are asking for your support to help keep Ms. Samantha Follmer, our World History teacher and girls’ soccer coach, at our school. Due to district budget cuts, her position is at risk and we believe this would be a huge loss for both the students and the school community.

Ms. Follmer has been a part of our lives since middle school. She is more than just a teacher  she’s someone who genuinely cares about her students, is always there when we need her, and goes above and beyond to help us succeed, not just academically but personally as well. Her dedication, patience, and support have made a real difference in our lives.

In addition to teaching, Ms. Follmer coaches the girls’ soccer team, showing the same care and commitment on the field as she does in the classroom. Losing her would not only affect our education but also hurt the soccer program and the students who rely on her mentorship and guidance.

Right now, many students are feeling disappointed and saddened by the possibility of her leaving. It’s discouraging to see valuable, caring educators being pushed out because of budget cuts. We believe teachers like Ms. Follmer are exactly who our school needs to support student success and well being.

We respectfully ask the school administration and district leaders to reconsider this decision and find a way to keep Ms. Follmer at Cypress Creek HS. Her impact on students is too important to lose.
