Two upcoming meetings where you can help get the attention of the Houston City Council and the mayoral candidates.

1.  City Council Open Session on October 3 at 2:00pm.

Attend the City Council Open Session!   Bring a small sign to show your support for saving the Montrose Live Oak trees.   You can also sign up to speak about this project or just to speak in general about the need for Houston to protect it shade canopy, its iconic live oaks and to stop replacing mature trees with small trees which need a lot of water to get established.

2.  Mayoral candidates Open Forum on Parks and Green Spaces in Houston on Thursday October 5 at Emancipation Park at 6:30 pm

Join Trees For Houston and over 20 other greenspace partners for A Green Commitment: Maintaining, Enhancing and Expanding Houston’s Parks and Open Space, a mayoral candidate forum on Thursday, October 5 at Emancipation Park. at 6:30 p.m.
