Save Molbaks Home and Garden from Closure

Save Molbaks Home and Garden from Closure
The Issue
I grew up in Woodinville, WA, USA. Molbaks Home and Garden has always been a part of my life; it's a staple, a place of comfort. It was even somewhere dog-friendly that allowed me to train my service dog and get him used to the public. It’s also a place where many artists get to sell their beloved work, something extremely important in current day economy. When we snuff out the art and beauty in this world, is there truly anything left to value? What will go in Molbaks’ place? Another chain store with mass produced and over priced trinkets made outside of our country? Or just more condos hardly anyone in the working class can afford?
Molbaks is not just essential for me but for our entire community. This store is the heart of Woodinville; it contributes significantly to our local economy and tourism sector. Every person who lives here will be impacted greatly by its closure.
Molbaks is one of the last stores we have that isn’t part of a chain - an independent beacon amidst commercialization that works with local and international artisans, fair-trade companies, and sustainable, charitable businesses. It brings so much life and love to this city that losing it would be an immeasurable loss.
We must prevent Molbaks Home and Garden from closing down because its value extends beyond commerce; it's about preserving our community spirit, supporting local artists, maintaining diversity in retail options, and keeping Woodinville unique. If no longterm agreement can be made, at least Molbaks should stay open for the remainder of its lease to honor their hard working employees and every patron who have been loyal these near 70 years.
Let us stand together as proud residents of Woodinville to save the cherished heart of our town! Please sign this petition today!
