The Issue

Minecraft Bedrock Edition has been nicknamed "bugrock" since it first came out, and that's for good reason. Hundreds of bugs ruin this game, ranging from random texture issues to game-breaking memory leaks. The worst part is that some of these bugs go years without even being acknowledged. Whether it's pink glitch being marked as fixed, despite having been present for 5 straight years, or bugs from preview versions making it to final release, it just feels like Mojang and Microsoft don't respect the bedrock community.

Of course, Bedrock edition is going to have more bugs than Java. It's coded for a very wide range of operating systems with wildly different power. My problem isn't that bugs are present, though. It's that Mojang doesn't even care to acknowledge them. Even though Java has its issues, there is at least communication. Yet on bedrock, even the biggest creators are ignored, let alone the wider community.

And its one thing to not say anything publicly to the community, but its another to outright ignore them. The bugs we are seeing in recent updates were largely reported in preview versions, but as if they don't even care, mojang released the update without fixing them. Even now, they still haven't acknowledged this, and instead are promoting a new mobile game and making regular posts across their socials.

We need to demand better. Many people in the bedrock community can't speak up about issues with the game, but that doesn't mean the game has no issues. We, as a community, need to speak up about bedrock and demand both transparency and change.
