At Memphis Street Academy, we are continuing to fight against the systemic bias in education that disproportionately impacts minority-led schools like ours. In addition to providing a safe space for learning, MSA serves as a vital resource for our community—offering a free English learning program for parents who don't speak the language, a free school-based health clinic, free monthly produce giveaways to combat rising food insecurity throughout the city, and much more.
However, the potential invocation of the surrender clause could force MSA to close, displacing over 500 students and removing this crucial support system. We remain steadfast in our legal fight and advocacy efforts to ensure our students and families have access to the resources they need to thrive.
Please continue to support us by signing the petition and standing with us in this critical battle.
