McIvor's Trees Are Growing Momentum! Help Us Keep It Going!

Hello Park Lovers! A quick update
Our Wrap the Bark, Save the Park event was a huge success: more than 250 handmade scares and over 200 people came together to install them on the 134 targeted trees - a wonderful show of love for our park, its trees and precious green space. So, to everyone who participated by donating yarn or crafting skills, who helped organize or advertise the event, or who participated on the day, THANK YOU!!!
Council has seen the photos and videos of Save the Park Wrap the Bark, and has now received over 230 emails in support of protecting parkland. We believe the message is starting to resonate with some of the decision makers, and we’re at a critical stagewhere we feel some genuine momentum towards consideration of brownfield alternatives to the stadium proposed for McIvor. So please be on the lookout for further updates, or join FOMR at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/friendsofmcivorreserve/ to learn more and be more involved.
And a quick favour . . .
In the month since Wrap the Bark, Save the Park, we’ve seen some real progress in our push to protect McIvor Reserve. Can you please help keep it going by sharing this link with friends, family, neighbours and networks, and ask them to take 15 seconds to send Council a message:
I SUPPORT THE PARK — SEND YOUR MESSAGE
(copy-and-paste link: https://tally.so/r/Ek2v6r)
The automated email will tell Council that our community values mature trees and green space, supports better sporting facilities, and wants Council to pause the McIvor stadium proposal and commit to finding a suitable brownfield site, for a win-win solution.
Every message shows Council how widely our community cares.
And now for a few reels from Wrap the Bark, Save the Park (You can share these videos with your friends and groups):
