Dear supporter,
Thank you for signing the petition to Ku-ring-gai Council some time ago. We’re asking you to stand with us again - this time by signing a new petition to NSW Parliament to reopen Marian St Theatre.
A lot has happened recently.
In June, Ku-ring-gai Council voted to abandon the approved plans to reopen Marian St Theatre. The community refused to let that happen.
In August, more than 250 people came together in anger for Rally in Red. Then, in an extraordinary fundraising effort, 312 people raised $100,000 in just one week - giving Council no reason not to save the approved plans and keep the project alive.
Now we have a new opportunity. A $15 million federal Thriving Suburbs grant is expected later this year.
But we need the State Government behind us to create the strongest possible case for Marian St.
PLEASE SIGN THE NEW PETITION
This petition is directed to NSW Parliament, to which Ku-ring-gai Council is accountable. It calls for the NSW Government to work with Council to reopen Marian St Theatre.
The petition closes today, 8 September.
If you have already signed the new petition, thank you. Please share it with someone else.
If you haven't, please sign now. It takes less than a minute.
This is the final day. Please help us make our voice heard in Parliament.
Warm regards,
Jess
