Good evening, tonight we have an urgent issue that requires your attention, immediately, right now! Tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM there is a proposal at City Hall which would allow commissioners to make permanent changes to any city park without public consent, feedback, or legal appeal. This includes unlimited and unilateral authority to build structures, add or remove features, or otherwise change a park without notice or accountability to the residents. This would apply to all commissioners and includes all parks within Miami’s city limits. Please sign this other petition at the following link.
Our rights as citizens to have a say in what our city does with public lands is under imminent attack. Sign the petition and act now to protect Miami Parks from being sold off to the highest bidder. Please also join us tomorrow at City Hall and leave a public comment with your strong opposition, hope to see you there! We need as many signatures as we can get by tomorrow morning, so please share this around before it gets too late tonight, or early when you wake up tomorrow.

Now that you have signed the petition, I can say we had an awesome meeting tonight with the city about the status of Margaret pace Park. I will provide a thorough update on the current plan and proposals from the city soon. In the meanwhile, thank you to everybody who came out and supported this cause. I will give the official update shortly, but in the meanwhile, city parks are under attack and they need our help more than ever before.
