Save Lynnewood Hall

The Issue

Lynnewood Hall has set abandoned for more than two decades. The First Korean Church of New York bought it in 1996, then quickly abandoned the property when they were not given tax exemption. The building has since sat untouched and falling apart in Elkins Park Pennsylvania. However, under Pennsylvania state law. While it only take ten days for property to be considered abandoned. It takes 21 YEARS to claim the property with adverse possession law. A law which is near impossible to do anyway. So we are petitioning the state and local government to help preserve this historic mansion by donating it to Titanic Truths LLC where it will be slowly renovated and turned into a museum and bed and breakfast. This amazing home does not have another 21 years for the slim chance of adverse possession claims. Work needs to begin as soon as possible, and Titanic Truths has a plan drawn up on exactly how to do that. It would take time, a lot of work, and donations to do. But it can be done if we can get started NOW. So please tell the State and Local government to save Lynnewood Hall by donating it to a company who shares historical respect and a Titanic connection just as the Widener mansion does. If donated the property, Titanic Truths would move from Missouri to Pennsylvania and take up residence in the mansion where work would begin immediately. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit would be formed to allow for donations by supporters. The house would be given televised promotion to boost support for restoration. And work would begin to restore the 55 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms back to usable sufficiency to create a bed and breakfast style experience for anyone who wants to see the home for themselves. Any and all funds raised from these ventures will go to restoring the house to as close as possible as it was in its finest hour and create a museum to the homes history as well as the Titanic connection within the Widener family.
