Louis Thorold was being pushed in his pram by his mother Rachael, 36, when a van came off an A-road in Waterbeach, Cambridge on January 22nd, 2021, hitting them both. The collision killed baby Louis and Rachael was left with serious injuries. 

Since then, a beautiful memorial has been created by two local residents to remember baby Louis. 

In 8 days the council are removing this beautiful memorial because ‘’Concerns have been raised that this roadside tribute is a potential road safety risk, as it is a distraction to road users and could encourage repeat visits by bereaved friends and relatives’’.
