🌳 We, the citizens of Nagpur, urgently call upon the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Maharashtra State Government to immediately halt the auction and commercialization of the green zone along London Street, and to declare it as a protected Urban Eco Park for the public.

This land, stretching from Jayprakash Nagar Metro Station to Jaitala Bazar Chowk (Shaniwar Bazar Road), passing through Sonegaon and Bhamti, is not barren land, it is a living, breathing green zone full of trees, biodiversity, birds, and natural beauty.

🛰 Satellite images and ground visuals clearly show that this area is already home to rich green cover and serves as a critical urban lung for Nagpur.

🚨This land is now under threat, as it is being auctioned off plot-by-plot to private builders under the “London (Orange) Street Development Project.” Once the trees are cut and concrete rises, this ecosystem will be lost forever.

1. A complete halt to all land auctions and construction approvals in this green zone.
2. Immediate action to declare this area as a protected Urban Eco Park/Central Urban Park.
3. A citizen-inclusive consultation process to decide the future of this space.
4. Transparent disclosure from NMC on land use planning and environmental assessment.
