We appeal to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamanji to address the denial of medical insurance to transplant recipients. Despite IRDAI guidelines, insurers reject us citing unsubstantiated “high-risk” claims. This unjust refusal burdens recipients, who spend Rs. 3-5 lakhs annually on post-transplant care, jeopardizing their health and finances.

We request:

Mandatory insurance coverage with fair premiums.
Free medication for middle-class recipients.

OR

Rs. 5 lakh tax rebate for post-transplant healthcare.
