We've all experienced it... The fear of being hit from behind when trying to turn onto Sunset Bay Road from northbound 395.

Local families, delivery drivers, contractors and other visitors currently risk the safety of themselves and their passengers when making a left turn from northbound 395 onto Sunset Bay Road in Loon Lake.

The number of vehicles using 395 through Loon Lake has significantly increased since the road was constructed.  Homes, businesses and a ski area have been built through the 395 corridor.  This stretch of road must be updated to safely accommodate today's traffic.  

Vehicles attempting to turn left onto Sunset Bay Road are "sitting ducks" and reliant on the attentiveness of drivers in this 60 MPH stretch.

A left-turn lane would provide locals with a safe place to stop while waiting for a proper moment to turn onto Sunset Bay Road.
