At Commissioner Keith Nashes request, he would like to make the public aware of an upcoming meeting February 24th with TDEC.

The meeting is with TDEC, Mayor Jim Bates, and the commissioners from Districts 3, 4, and 5 in regards to WADC’s application and proposed dumping site in Lick Creek.

This is the chance that the commissioners and mayor have to tell TDEC what the county thinks in regards to the proposal.

I was made aware of a post made by commissioners Carla Moore and Devin Pickard which asked for public opinion on the matter.

Commissioner Nash believes they had taken the best approach to ask for public opinion and would like to do the same!

Commissioner Nash asks if you’re in his district to reach out if you feel so inclined and let him know your desires!

I also encourage everyone to reach out to their commissioners in other districts to let them know what the people who elected them desire!

The commissioners are elected by their districts to make voices of those within the districts heard, so let them know your thoughts!
