Cllr Bernard McGuin - Lepton & Fenay Bridge Residents Greenspaces Update

Dear Local Residents,

Thank you all for signing my petition. 730 local residents have now signed "Save Lepton & Fenay Bridge from Development".

As your Almondbury Ward Councillor, I am up for Re-Election on Thursday May 6th. I hope I can count on your support, so I continue to campaign for you and local residents who are against Kirklees Labour Council allowing 851 houses to be built in Lepton & Fenay Bridge.

The next Lepton Vision Meeting will be held on Wednesday 12th May starting at 19:30hrs using Google Meet. I answered the concerns of residents living near to the Dartmouth Estate, when they phoned and email me regarding the cutting of protected trees without permission in the land of Hermitage Park. Thanks to those residents Kirklees will now protect more trees and look at appropriate action to be taken on the alleged breach of planning. I am still opposed to any houses being built here and along with this petition, have highlighted the campaign for local residents via leaflets Facebook, Examiner, videos  I am still the only Almondbury Ward Councillor that attends Lepton Vision meeting to. My team, Lepton Ward Cllrs Bob Smith and James Spivey also attend.
