Have your say, join a protest against the City expansion and attend the debate at County Hall.
Residents have been clear - they don’t want to be part of Leicester City and they don’t want Sir Peter Soulsby as their Mayor.
Despite this, Sir Peter let slip to his councillors that the Leader at LCC had ‘acknowledged’ Leicester needs to expand and that it was ‘unarguable’.
That is why the Leicestershire Conservatives have called an extraordinary meeting this Wednesday at County Hall to get answers over what has been discussed behind closed doors and to try and force a motion that all councillors will have the final say on any expansion plans, not just the LCC cabinet.
But we need your help! Join councillors that are against the City expansion in a protest outside County Hall and show how strong the feeling is against Sir Peter’s plans.
- Turn up outside reception of County Hall, Glenfield, LE3 8RA at 1.30pm on Wednesday 30/7.
- Then watch the debate in the council chamber from 2pm and hear in person what is said. No pre-registration is required.
Lets show LCC Leader Dan Harrison and Sir Peter that they can’t trade away Leicestershire in back room deals.
