A big thank you to everyone for signing and sharing the petition. We’ve grown almost 5,000 supporters in mere days which shows the strength of feeling against Sir Peter’s Labour land grab. 

We’re also grateful to Conservative Mid Leicestershire MP Peter Bedford who asked the Secretary of State for Local Government about the possibility of Leicestershire having a referendum on the hated City expansion given the incredibly poor response the plans have had. 

Unfortunately the response from the Labour Government was a big NO, stating on the record they have no plans to allow Leicestershire to have a referendum despite these Labour expansion having a huge impact on our area for generations to come.
