Most of you will know that the Langley Vale Action Group recently succeeded in getting planning permission for the Fairfax housing scheme on the Green Belt at Langley Bottom Farm refused.  This was largely down to the brilliant support of you our residents enabling us to present a compelling case as to why the scheme would devastate our village.
 
The developer has now appealed the decision and there is to be a Public Inquiry which will consider evidence from both the applicant and opponents.  The outcome of the appeal will be determined by a government-appointed Planning Inspector.  Full details of the appeal, including the likely timescale are not available yet.
 
It is vital that the Langley Vale Action Group participates in the Public Inquiry and presents our case to the Inspector.  Ideally we need to commission further expert evidence from our planning and transport consultants to challenge the appellant's case and reinforce our own case.  The means we will need to raise additional funds.
