Almost to 6,000: Learn About the History of South OC's First Hospital and Attend the Next Meeting

Did you know that our Coastal Communities raised $640,000 in four months to help South Coast Community Hospital open July 2, 1959? Actress Bette Davis--who lived Laguna Beach at the time--gave the final $25,000 to close the funding gap.
Now, South Orange County's first hospital is facing closure: an urgent care is being proposed to replace the Emergency Room--despite a 2014 press release stating "...the provision of emergency support services to ensure sustainability for generations to come."
