Save Kenny – Calling all skateboarders and fans of Kennington Park

We thought we’d saved Kenny. But we’re still waiting … 

The saga of the longstanding project to reopen Kennington Park’s iconic 1970s skatebowl continues.

In autumn 2025, Lambeth Council reviewed all of its spending and the restoration project was put on hold. That's when we started our SAVE KENNY campaign.

Then in March 2026, we were thrilled to hear the Council had voted to set aside funds to restore the skatebowl. 

Since then, we’ve been asking them – often – for an update. But we’ve heard nothing – no progress, no information.

We are the Friends of Kennington Park (FoKP), and we want to thank everyone who signed this petition and supported our campaign …

But we still need your help to get our Kenny restoration moving forward!
