We Filed to Protect Historic Keauhou Bay! This video explains it ALL! Go to https://youtu.be/x--7GnkCa6Q?si=i3d5v626-B4pDYio
The Hawai‘i Planning Department has unlawfully accepted Kamehameha Schools’ Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a luxury bungalow resort in sacred Keauhou Bay. We have now filed a legal petition to overturn this acceptance in court. View the official Environmental Review notice: https://files.hawaii.gov/dbedt/erp/The_Environmental_Notice/2025-09-23-TEN.pdf
We stand for our community, for the endangered species that live in this bay, and for the cultural practices that keep our heritage alive. Doctors, scientists, and countless studies have proven that developments like this pollute our waterways and destroy fragile ecosystems. King Kamehameha III’s birthplace is sacred and must be preserved — not turned into another resort for profit by Kamehameha Schools’ $15B empire.
How You Can Help: We need to raise funds for two flights to O‘ahu to serve Kamehameha Schools in court. The fees, time, and dedication it takes to prepare and fight this case means working less, but the bills don’t stop.
