Right - Sweety entreats for Karen to come home.
Hello Everyone,
Sweety is beloved by Karen & he loves her too.
Sweety has a strong bond with Karen. He loves being with her and is missing her badly and Karen is missing him too.
Within minutes of arriving home from the rescue centre in 2020 Sweety was laying with Karen on her bed purring as if he had known her all his life.
Sweety is loved by everyone who meets him - Sweety by name - Sweety by nature.
Sweety is about 11 years old. He has the great misfortune of having inflammatory bowel disease and immune problems so is chronically ill and has digestive problems and pain. In 2023 Sweety had to have one of his eyes removed due to a severe infection. He’s on medication to help control his bowel symptoms but now is suffering from a serious side effect from it. Sadly, his health is declining - so he is on borrowed time.
If St Marks and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) had worked together months ago, then Karen would have been at home on IV feeding by now.
For Karen’s and Sweety’s sake we need St Marks and ESHT to work together now, to arrange for Karen to go home very soon with the IV feeding and IV fluid she needs to survive. If St Marks and ESHT would work together to set up home IV feeding remotely for Karen while she is at Conquest Hospital instead of Karen having to go to St Marks and the ME being made worse, then Karen could be at home sooner with Sweety giving him TLC.
Karen’s is an exceptional case and so is Sweety’s.
