Thanks to the support from yourself and thousands of others for the Jericho Wharf Trust (JWT) campaign for a compulsory purchase of the Wharf site, the landowner finally caved in and sold the site to Worcester College. As mentioned in our last update, there will now be a period of public consulation. The first step is a joint Open Meeting arranged by the JWT with the Provost of Worcester for 7.30pm, Monday 14th September at St Barnabas School, Jericho Street.

Everyone is invited. It is an opportunity to hear and discuss ambitions for the site and to ask questions before any plans are made. This is the start of a continuing conversation both about temporary uses and the longer term. At this early stage there are no architect’s proposals but the Local Plan policies for Jericho Wharf set the context:
- residential development
- a new community centre
- a public square
- a replacement operating boatyard
- the potential to accommodate a new bridge crossing
We hope to see you there.
