Thanks again for your support for the Save Jericho Wharf campaign. More than 1,500 people have now signed the petition, which has helped open discussions with the City Council about a compulsory purchase order.

In the meantime, we would like to invite you to a special screening of the 'Jericho Films' at the Phoenix Cinema, followed by a Q&A on the campaign.

Wednesday, February 26th, 6.00 to 7.30 pm. Admission £10. Proceeds will support the campaign.

These are two historic and entertaining documentaries produced 45 years apart by Maggie Black: the first with the BBC2 series Open Door in 1974 when Maggie had newly arrived in Jericho; the second with Film Oxford in 2019.  Maggie is currently Chair of the Walton Manor Residents' Association.

The image above is taken from the first film, when the site was owned by a public body, British Waterways, and leased as a boatyard.

Also, at the screening representatives of the Jericho Wharf Trust will discuss the campaign in a Q&A. We hope to see you there!
