Greetings! Over 6,400 names on our petition calling on state officials to stop this madness.
Thank you to everyone who read the petition and followed the press coverage. Over 300 people attended our educational event on Saturday, August 23, followed by a march to the State Historical Society of Iowa. The crowd was enthusiastic and energized by the speakers and musicians calling on us to carry on this fight. Time is of the essence and we need your help in raising the alarm before it is too late to stop this desecration of a valued library and archives created by and for Iowans. Please spread the word and enlist the help of your neighbors, coworkers, and family members, whether they reside in Iowa or not. We are all connected by a common heritage. Our target is to reach 10,000 signatures as soon as possible, so please start calling people and knocking on doors. We need all of you to show your concern by sharing the petition and stories behind it. Your efforts are making a difference!
