The Issue
1) Emergency Training: Introduce mandatory training in CPR, first aid, and emergency response for all students.
2) Mental Health Support: Employ three psychologists per school and ensure one private mental health session for every student biweekly.
3) Philosophy as a Subject: Offer philosophy as a subject, encompassing modern philosophy, ancient teachings, and comparative religious theologies.
4) Practical Knowledge Focus: Prioritise hands-on activities such as:
-Political and philosophical debates
-Model United Nations (MUNs)
-Research projects (individual and group)
-Experiments, website-building, NGO promotion
-Public speaking and entrepreneurial learning
-Flexible Subject Choices: Allow students to explore and periodically shift between subjects based on their evolving interests.
5) Sex Education: Incorporate comprehensive sex education, addressing male and female health and awareness.
6) Holistic Mental Health Training: Certified counsellors to teach empathy and mental health management strategies.
7) Revised College Admissions: Base college admissions on:
-Practical work (sports, debates, research, NGOs)
-Competitions and speeches
-Essays outlining intentions for joining college.
8)Practical College Curriculum: Transform college teaching to focus on hands-on practical work that directly aligns with real-world job requirements. Minimise unnecessary theoretical instruction and prioritize field-specific training to prepare students for their careers.
9)Zero Exam Policy: Replace frequent exams with a single SAT-like test at the end of school, solely for profile enhancement.
