Thank you to everyone who has signed our petition so far! We have reached over 1000 signatures now which is fantastic.
We have had a response from the land management agents (Bidwells) who have confirmed that Farmcare Trading Ltd (the client) has made the decision to not renew the dairy farm’s tenancy based on commercial grounds and to meet the management remit that Farmcare requires from their owned assets. They stated that Farmcare Trading Limited has no interest in the site of Mulberry’s planning application and the management decision at Houghton Lodge has nothing whatsoever to do with this proposal. And also that, the land is being relet to a farming tenant who is well known to Farmcare.
Whilst we appreciate the response, this is still very disappointing news.
We are now attempting to get a face to face meeting with Farmcare Trading Ltd. whilst Farm manager Jack has had to start selling his stock of Dairy cows which is a very difficult and emotional process for him and his team.
Thanks again for everyone’s support. It means a lot to all those involved. We will keep pushing for more clarity and answers from Farmcare directly.
