Just thought we would let you all know this is the last day (midnight tonight) to submit any comments on the Local Plan: https://www.north-herts.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/local-plan/local-plan-examination/further-main-modifications-2021

You will see this on the main page: “The Inspector is also inviting comments on a number of examination documents submitted by the Council to the examination, which are listed "here":” So by clicking “here” you will see a list of Documents and the one relevant to us is: “ED172 - “Council Response to the Green Belt.” So simply email local.plans@north-herts.gov.uk referencing ED172 in your Email Subject & Body. Reading the document - Paper B – Green Belt - the Inspector has raised queries and is obviously concerned about the process of selecting Green Belt sites but please let him and the council know your views.  

You can also add comments directly against Local Plan Further Modifications which can be found using their “consultation portal or this direct link: https://north-herts.oc2.uk/document/36  Once this link is opened you can scroll down to Hitchin to see four sections. To make an online comment you need to login or create an account, or you can simply email quoting the Reference to local.plans@north-herts.gov.uk  These sections relate the housing numbers, the number given permission has actually increased, and the retail areas planned.  

Obviously, you can comment on any document or area of the Local Plan but the above focuses on Hitchin and our Green Belt petition.
