An out of town developer wants to put four 3-story buildings containing 116 units on 6-lane State Road 70 in Historic Oneco. This will change the density from 4.5 units per acre to just over 20 units per acre, cause flooding, create dangerous traffic impacts, destroy wetlands and wildlife corridors. There are NO multi story buildings anywhere in Historic Oneco!

THIS PLAN WAS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED DOWN BY THE MANATEE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION AUGUST 15, 2024 has been postponed for a year! Now it must come back to the Planning Commission AGAIN August 14, 2025 and to the Board of County Commissioners for a final vote September 4, 2025. PLEASE GET INVOLVED.
