Hello all - The Public Hearing postponed due to Hurricane Fiona is happening tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. City Council will be voting to approve (or not) the recommendations of their staff and their Heritage Advisory Committee to grant heritage status to 1245 Edward Street. Thanks to William Breckenridge for notification on this. Link: https://www.halifax.ca/city-hall/regional-council/october-18-2022-halifax-regional-council
Please take a moment to write to the Council members and Mayor asking them to vote YES - this item is one of the first things they’ll deal with at 1:00 p.m. (there is also a property on Tulip Street in Dartmouth).
Here are their email addresses: https://cdn.halifax.ca/sites/default/files/documents/city-hall/districts-councillors/Councillors%20External%20Contact%20List%202020-2024_Web_1.pdf
Hoping for success tomorrow and then a discussion with Dalhousie University about what they plan to do with the property.
Thanks for your support and for spreading the word about this - Peggy
