We, the undersigned students and parents of Houston Independent School District demand accountability and transparency among the leaders of Houston ISD, and most importantly, Floyd Mike Miles, who has spent HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of Texas taxpayer dollars on causing us students to FAIL. He has also illegally sent millions more to the private school chain that HE owns. He put up new reforms that have no educational value and actually SLOWED our learning down. He took TWO WEEKS OF SUMMER, which messed up everybody’s summer plans. We all feel that he should be removed from his position as superintendent, or that the school board will have the chance to remove him. The governor of Texas appointed him to his position without giving the board a choice. The students of Houston ISD call upon the people to help and sign this petition.
