ALOHA, Sisters and Brothers!
After months of testifying and lobbying, we were successful in pushing Senate Bill 33 (SB 33) through the State Legislature. The measure would raise the Film Tax Credit Cap from $35 Million to $50 Million, however, Governor Ige has included SB 33 on his list of “intent to veto” bills (Gov Ige’s Veto List).
The Governor cannot veto the bill until Tuesday, July 9th. His options are to let it become law without his signature, sign the bill between now and Tuesday or veto the bill. We need to make sure he either signs the bill or passes it without his signature. So, let’s send a clear message to Governor Ige by filling his voicemail and email inbox with messages from us!
CALL TO ACTION:
CALL Governor Ige’s office at (808) 586-0034, and let him know that you want him to SIGN SENATE BILL 33 into law. Call every day until next Tuesday, July 9th.
