We, the parents, families, residents, alumni, and community members connected to Greenglade Elementary, respectfully ask the Miami-Dade County School Board and district leadership to preserve Greenglade Elementary and fully consider the impact of any proposed closure or school reorganization before making a final decision.

Greenglade Elementary is more than a school building. It is part of our neighborhood and an important part of the lives of the children and families it serves.

We are concerned about the potential impact of these changes on students, families, educational continuity, and the programs and services available to children, including Cambridge, Gifted, and Exceptional Student Education (ESE), where applicable.

We ask district leadership to:

1.⁠ ⁠Preserve Greenglade Elementary and seriously consider alternatives to closing the school.
2.⁠ ⁠Provide clear, timely, and transparent information about the proposal, its rationale, the decision-making timeline, and the opportunities for public participation.
3.⁠ ⁠Evaluate the impact on students and the surrounding community, including educational programs, student support services, transportation, and school transitions.
4.⁠ ⁠Give families and residents a meaningful opportunity to be heard before a final decision is made.

This petition is open to parents, residents, alumni, and all community members who support the continued presence of Greenglade Elementary in our neighborhood.

We respectfully ask district leadership to listen to the community and carefully consider the consequences before moving forward.
