Damage to Graham Woods has begun; Lawsuit filed; Donors needed

Despite numerous calls to stop and rethink their plans, and despite not having final permits, the University of Florida began demolishing Graham Woods Conservation Area before students returned for the fall, cutting down hundreds of trees that should have been protected.  Their actions may prove criminal, but for now, a local non-profit group has filed a civil legal challenge to stop it before any more damage is done.

Starting today, we are asking supporters to donate to our litigation effort to hold those responsible at UF accountable for this massive breach of the public trust and irreparable harm to our history and environment.  We are trying to raise $10,000 this month to support legal fees and expert reviews, but any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
