Hello, Supporters,

Good news! We seem to have topped-out at 2,822 signatures, but this has been enough to convince the developers that their planned destruction of the GBC Sanctuary will be too contentious, due to the community interest exhibited by our Petition.  They have backed out of the deal, so the Sanctuary is no longer in immediate danger!

We still have a ways to go to get Landmark status, and there will be further expenses toward this end, but things are moving well in that direction.  Better yet, the Church is now under new leadership and is open for in-person worship services on Sunday mornings.

The Church still has financial difficulties from spending practices of the former leadership.  Church members are thinking of having fundraisers with concerts of the mighty pipe organ to raise money for long-neglected maintenance and other needed upgrades.  More on this when plans have developed and dates announced.

Since we are no longer facing a potentially expensive PR battle with the developers, our anonymous major donner has withdrawn his/her/their donation unless needed in the future.  Special thanks to him/her/them!
