On January 19th 2023 Joshua Safran announced HBOMAX will not be renewing the loved Gossip Girl reboot for a season 3. This is most likely due to the merger of HBO and Discovery as they have been cancelling shows left and right and are cancelling shows for taxes. I propose Disney to buy the rights to Gossip Girl from WB and move the show to Hulu. Gossip Girl is a huge franchise and we all know Disney loves a good franchise. I believe if Disney buys the rights we’ll all receive the treatment the show deserves. The reason I’m making this position is just to get it onto Disney’s radar and show them how much the show means to people.
