With the popular topic of a social media ban social isolation, especially in rural communities, is at an intense risk of taking over. Did you know over 15% of Australians experience social isolation and loneliness. With the Golden Plains Shire's appalling public transport system our youth and working families are struggling. With the term of our new Mayor Sarah Hayden and the new term of the Labour Government now is the time to act and make a change in the shire and save the mental and physical health of our community.

This isn't only an issue for youth who struggle to travel, people who are unable to drive due to medical reasons are struggling, elderly people are struggling, low income families are struggling, families who cannot pick up their children from school are struggling. A frequent and accessible public transport system WILL HELP THOUSANDS.

This petition will be shared to both the golden plains shire council and the labour party in an arranged meeting with myself. As a youth advocate in the Golden Plains Shire i speak for our community and along you all will demand change.
