We are so close to 6K signatures. Thank you to everyone who has signed & shared the petition. I am checking comments every day. I hope you will share your story about why you signed ithe petition.  What did you feel the first time you watched GLOW? Were you a wrestling fan before you watched it? If not what was it like to see women command a ring ? What kept ypu coming back each week? Which character inspired you the most? What will you miss most about the show?

I came to GLOW knowing nothing about wrestling. The idea of women dominating a ring is what drew me along w the neon infused throwback to the 80's. What kept me coming back was the weird beauty & depth. The show was honest. Over the top yes but never a caricature. I loved all the zany costumes & makeup & glitter. And the music was a perfect time machine that took me back to my first kiss, my first job & my first car.

These women were so diverse, charming and engaging. I was no longer just passively sitting in front of my tv I was in the locker room or ring side & poolside hanging out with friends. GLOW made me feel included & seen.

The wrestler who inspired me the most is Sheila. She lived her truth louder than I'd experienced before. She reminds me of a passage from the book The Women Who Run With Wolves.

"What does this wildish intuition do for women? Like the wolf, intuition has claws that pry things open and pin things down, it has eyes that can see through the shields of persona, it has ears that can perceive beyond the range of mundane human hearing. With these formidable psychic tools a woman takes on a shrewd and even precognitive animal consciousness, one that deepens her femininity and sharpens her ability to move confidently in the outer world."

Meredith Handerhan, who signed the petition, posted a comment that captured the magnificent spirit of GLOW so perfectly "Art is going to save this place. Women are going to save this place. But putting those two things together is going to ELEVATE this place"

What I'll miss most is the wrestling & unhinged weird joy of it all.  This show and these vibrant humans are undefeated & irreplaceable. They earned & deserve their final bell.
