A song for Sherrelwood: Save the old Franklin Reservoir, the last wild place where we live!

Last week the Adams County commissioners were all treated to a rare experience during public comment. A resident of the Sherrelwood community showed  up at the weekly hearing and express his feelings about saving this natural space... IN SONG.

There's a piece of land just a skip and hop from home. 
It once was a reservoir, now where the foxes roam. 
See folks with the best of intentions want to dig around,
to come in with their scoop machines put more concrete down.

You don't have to show up in person or sing. Written public comment is past the official deadline to comment on the rezoning and subdivision for the proposed development, however I've been told the county planners will accept comment up until the hearing date (not yet scheduled).
