The Issue

Englewood has been recommended for closure by the Salem/Keizer School District at the end of the 26/27 school year. As a community school, this closure would negatively impact not only students, families and staff, but the entire neighboring community.

“We have been sharing information with our community and are hosting several listening sessions this week. A final decision is slated for our December 8 school board meeting. The best place for information, resources, mapping tools is on our school closure process webpage: https://salkeiz.k12.or.us/schools/closure-consolidation Information about our listening sessions have been shared with families and media, and is also in this story: https://salkeiz.k12.or.us/details/~board/district-news/post/community-conversations-about-school-closures Thank you, Aaron Harada Director Community Relations and Communications”
