Hi everyone,

Due to all of you, and the overwhelming support through signatures and testimonials that live here on this page, I  am happy to report that many of the stated goals of this petition have been met. The key stakeholders, including myself, have had a number of very encouraging meetings with both SF Rec & Park and BXP about the vital place of Embarcadero in skateboarding's history, and the continued presence of skateboarding in any plans moving forward. They get it, and they want to do right by us. 

This is a very good sign that points to an almost unprecedented moment in the city's history, where skateboarding is valued and accommodated in one of the key sites of the city, along the Embarcadero. 

We are still figuring out the shape of the future of the plaza, whether it's about wholesale preservation, a sensitive remodel, or building from the ground up. Obviously these are the kinds of choices that nobody wants to make for anyone else, but the goal, from where I  stand, is in reach.
