Friends, the current occupation at the lake is growing, and they don't intend to go anywhere. Unhoused individuals from the lake have started their own twitter account, and they're wrestling up protesters to defend them from any type of enforcement or clean up. So what can you do? Well, you've already made a huge step by signing this petition! Now you can help in two ways:

First, share this petition with anyone you can, and get them to sign. If we have the numbers, we can show Mitch O Farrell and his cohorts that we, the tax payers who fund this lake, ARE NOT HAPPY! And that we do not want the lake to be housing! 

The second thing you can do is send an email to Juan Fregoso, our Field Deputy for Echo Park, and tell him how you feel about this occupation of our beautiful lake: juan.fregoso@lacity.org (Feel free to CC councilmember.ofarrell@lacity.org too)

They want and need us, the tax payers, to speak up and let them know how we feel! The activists summoned by the unhoused at the lake are loud and boisterous about ordering us how to control our own community. They aren't even from Echo Park, yet they seek to control us all and determine the future of our lake. Let Juan and Mitch know WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS!
