Dear Supporters

A gentle reminder that as part of Ealing’s Consultation process regarding its draft Library Strategy from 2019-2023 the Council is asking for the views of its residents, library users and anyone else who will be affected by the proposed changes.

The council states, its “strategy presents proposals for a needs-based library service. This means a library service where we prioritise our resources to achieve outcomes that will best meet the needs of those who live, work and study in Ealing.”

Whether you currently use a library in the borough or not the Council would like to hear your views on its plans to have seven of our libraries managed by community volunteers or risk closure if no community ‘bidders’ come forward.

So please do read the Consultation documents and event slides before completing a short survey to submit your views..  Both can be accessed here, (https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201042/current_consultations/2548/have_your_say_on_the_draft_ealing_library_strategy/1).Have your say on the draft Ealing library strategy).

This consultation will be open until 17 May 2019. The consultation. We are asking for your views on our draft strategy for Ealing’s libraries over the next four years (2019 - 2023).
www.ealing.gov.uk

Alternatively you can also email in your views to libraries@ealing.gov.uk or pick up a paper copy of the survey at any of the Ealing’s libraries.

According to the Council "responses to the consultation will inform a final report to the Council’s cabinet in July 2019,“ so it’s important to Have Your Say.

I’m sorry the survey isn’t very customer friendly and some of the questions are ambiguous and confusing BUT if you can bear it please do give your views so the council can get a clear idea of what its communities want, will accept and will not accept.

As ever,

Thank You!

Grace (Akuba)
