We now have over 15,000 supporters that have signed the petition. Thanks to everyone who has signed shared and donated to help. We need to keep up sharing and getting the word out about the gardens, not just locally but further afield. The gardens are a national asset as well as being important to the people of Dundee.
Thanks also to all of the people who have contributed with comments. These help to let people know why the gardens are so important. There are many plants that are unique to the gardens and the last thing we want is for the University to allow them to perish. I have seen a lovely video that has been uploaded by one of our younger supporters. Unfortunately the volume is very low and it's very hard to hear what she is saying, but I managed to listen on my mobile and could hear that she was very sad and talked about the trees and cactuses. If she could repeat her video with the volume up that would be great. It would also be lovely to see more videos from our youngsters voicing their support or anyone else who would like to upload a message.
I have not had any responses as yet from the rector or in regards to the freedom of information request. When I do I will update here again. I do know that much has been going on to help. Letters have been written and signed and politicians and councillors have been involved. Hopefully solutions can be found.
