Join us for a peaceful protest on Monday, July 21st at 9:00 AM at the Douglas County Courthouse as we demand action to SAVE our Community Service Board (CSB) from closure.
The CSB currently serves over 10,000 residents—families, youth, and individuals with disabilities who rely on its vital mental health and community programs. Meanwhile, $5 million has been outsourced to a private agency that serves only 800 residents. This is not a funding issue—this is a priority issue.
We’re calling on our County Commissioners to vote in favor of restructuring CSB as a local behavioral authority, protecting it from a state shutdown and ensuring its $5 million budget is secured.
If we don’t act now, our most vulnerable neighbors will lose support, and the state may seize control—leaving our community powerless.
We’re not waiting on politics. We’re standing up for people.
